Sanoë was founded by Noelle Pallais and Sabrina Burda, two women with a deep passion for fashion and years of industry experience. Inspired by Alpine traditions and equestrian elegance, we craft premium heirloom jackets designed to stand the test of time. Each piece is handmade in Portugal, using only the finest materials to ensure both quality and authenticity.

Let’s kick it off with a
quick fire! What’s your favorite…
Cocktail: Sabrina: Cold crisp glass of wine or a pisco sour. Noelle: Tini anything, love a good blue cheese olive while we’re at it.
Museum: Sabrina: Metropolitan Museum of Art is the most iconic for me and I love the Orangerie Museum in Paris. Noelle: Museo Larco in Lima, Peru – ultimate favorite. You can walk alleys filled of pre-incan ceramics and get lost too.
City: Sabrina: It’s a tie for me between London, Paris, and New York! Noelle: Lima for the Food, Telaviv for the Beach, Paris for the shopping, NYC for everything.
Comfort Food: Sabrina: anything pasta, crepe with Nutella, and pain au chocolat. Noelle: Sushi, for the good times and the bad times.
Skincare Must Have: Sabrina: It varies, these days loving good old fashioned beef tallow, and the face mask from Tammy Fender. Noelle: Vivant Masque by Biologique Recherche.
Instagram Account: Sabrina: @sburda. Noelle: @nowiepavz.
Tell us about your design process!
Sabrina: Noelle and I probably have a whatsapp group text that is about to implode, we have so many shared photos of fabrics and inspo between us. We are constantly getting inspired by ideas, and sharing them with each other, since we have a long distance relationship. Whether it’s from art, to interior design, our travels, other cultures, and different fabrics we source and select along the day. We pull a lot from romantic silhouettes, and love putting together pinterest boards. We get together one to two times a year and work together to lay it all out, before making our final decisions.
Noelle: Sabrina and I come together twice a year with endless ideas of pieces that inspire us. We come up with a theme and somehow get lost in between. We realize we never really end up where we thought we would, but we do end up always, with wearable pieces that stick to our DNA – she’s a hunter, equestrian and we use beautiful fabrics, and we create simply put: well-tailored pieces. We try to get playful, especially in the summer, playing with bolder colors and fun statement fabrics, but our Winter collections are always two things: wearable and chic.
What’s a fun fact not many people know about you?
Sabrina: I absolutely love to sing, and I used to be a DJ. Noelle: I speak Mandarin…..well for 5 minutes, but they say my accent is pretty good.
When did you know you wanted to be in fashion?
Sabrina: I think it was subconscious for me for awhile, but I was always drawn to my grandmother and mother’s closets, especially their statement suits and jackets. I’ve loved to dress up ever since I was little. I interned for a magazine in Paris when I was 19, and officially fell in love with the fashion world then.
Noelle: Always, ever since my obsession for collecting denim mini-skirts from Abercrombie and Fitch and Juicy terrycloth and velvet matching outfits to stealing my moms Pucci mini skirts and dresses for Highschool Dances. There were definitely some faux pas along the way, but I can’t say I wouldn’t of changed them!
How would you describe the Sanoë woman?
Sabrina: She is timeless and classic, but also has her own edge to her sense of style. She appreciates fabrics and tailoring. She loves to explore and travel, but is a homebody at heart.
Noelle: Classic with a Twist. She’s timeless, open for change but prefers to stick to what works for her. Shes knows what she likes and that’s Fab too.
How do you want her to feel in wearing the collection?
Sabrina: Elegant but comfortable. Noelle: Comfortably Chic.
Who is your style icon?
Sabrina: Loving Daisy Dexter Jones style these days, Sienna Miller, and Claudia Schiffer’s vibe in the 90s.
Noelle: I love Iris for her eccentricity but forever a BatGio fan. She’s daring but most certainly more demure.
What or who is your closet hero?
Sabrina:My mother, she always looks beautiful and elegant anytime she walks into a room, even if it’s for breakfast in the morning. She has been true to her sense of style, and is very classic. I grew up with her wearing tailored pants or dress suits, even when we were taking a flight somewhere. Lucky for me, most of her things fit me, and she has taken such good care of her pieces, that they have lasted a lifetime so far.
Noelle: My Mother, wow. Unfortunately for her, we share the same clothing and shoe size, but worse off for me, she locks her closet every time I visit! There is only one closet that’s left open and if I’m lucky I can snatch a few new pieces here and there. I also have a great memory for whats locked in her closets, so I dream of some pieces and sometimes think I even own them when I’m thinking of putting together outfits!
Cheers!
