Tell us about your design process!
I create designs that are steeped in history, culture, and tradition from the heart of Peru. In each collection, the creative process starts by exploring Peru´s profound heritage, where I dive into its cultural tapestry and iconic landscapes to draw inspiration. Every pattern we create is a meticulous journey, translated into bold, conversational pieces that reflect a contemporary reinterpretation of Peruvian heritage.
Take our best seller, the Thierra belt cardigan, for instance. Its captivating pattern draws inspiration from the wonders of Machu Picchu and the enchanting city of Cusco. The mountainous terrains and route to get there form asymmetrical lines that we reinterpreted and became the foundation of our design.
What’s a fun fact not many people know about you?
I wear my socks backwards.
When did you know you wanted to be in fashion?
From a young age, I was captivated by the transformative power of clothing. Growing up, I always saw fashion as a means of self-expression, I used to go in my mom´s closet and explore and style all of her clothes. The realization that clothing could tell stories and make a statement was always my main drive to later on start my own fashion brand.
How would you describe the Muna woman?
She is confident and has a fearless sense of style. She curates her own narrative, using clothing as a canvas to express her individuality and make a lasting impression and stand out. She is someone who values both quality and uniqueness and invests in timeless and meticulous craftsmanship pieces.
How do you want her to feel in wearing the collection?
Fearless and confident in expressing her individuality through our bold statement pieces and comfortable wearing our pieces by feeling the exquisite quality of the fabrics.
